LSU ends bird rescue program
Veterinarians saved about 70 non-oiled birds
BATON ROUGE, La (WGMB)--The LSU Vet School is wrapping up its bird rescue program.
If you recall, the school was taking in non-oiled birds rescued during the Crisis on the Coast.
Many of the animals came in with broken wings and legs.
Veterinarians helped 70 birds during the process.
Some were so bad off they had to be euthanized, but many of the birds were released back into the wild.
