BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) — It was a suprise, especially before football season, " says Nathaniel Casher. Like many, he is shocked that a star quarterback could possibly be involved in a barroom brawl, "Jordan Jefferson, he's had a clean slate since he's been at LSU. I think he's a leader."
Although shocked, Casher says he can relate to the situation, "I understand how tempers can flare. It happens all the time."
He's not alone. LSU fan James Pierre feels the exact same way, "I think they're overblowing it out of proportion because all the facts are not known. You shouldn't prejudice him."
Both also agree that whatever happens, head coach Les Miles will do what's right, "I think coach Les Miles and the staff will get things under control. They'll do what they need to do to get things straight."
This is a sentiment echoed by the coach himself, "Whatever legal proceedings that are ongoing, we will cooperate and see how all that figures. I know that they're still gathering information and at the appropriate time we will take very strong action."
