Matt Flynn seen at Georges with Sports Illustrated writer Peter King
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — The race to sign free agents will begin next week. In Baton Rouge, former LSU champion and highly noted free agent Matt Flynn was spotted chatting with Peter King, acclaimed sports writer for Sports Illustrated.
The two were seen at Georges Restaurant located on Perkins Road on Thursday, March 1 at around 4:00 p.m. Both were seated at the bar area, and King was taking notes during the conversation. No doubt the conversation will appear in an upcoming article.
On Tuesday, March 13, the free agency period opens and Matt Flynn will get a chance to talk to other teams about becoming their quarter back.
Flynn is an LSU champion quarterback and Super Bowl Green Bay Packer champion. He broke Bart Starr's record by throwing over 600 yards in one game and broke Brett Favres record by throwing six touchdown in that same game.
As for Peter King, his column “Monday Morning Quarterback” is featured in Sports Illustrated. He’s authored five books and was named National Sportswriter of the Year for 2010.
