Mayor President Kip Holden has plans for grant money
BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - We're learning more about how Mayor President Kip Holden plans to spend almost a million dollars worth of Homeland Security grant money.
According to this plan obtained by FOX44news, Holden hopes to purchase lots of what he calls interoperable communications equipment.
The plan includes spending money for Ipads, classroom upgrades, even a video wall.
Yesterday was the deadline for Holden to submit the plan.
You may remember the mayor's gone on the record saying he doesn't agree with the way GOHSEP is handing out the money.
