BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) -- Emergency responders are stepping up their game tonight. The Mayor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness is in constant contact with the National Weather Service.
Operations Chief Kyle Jones tells FOX44 News that they're watching the storms every move and adjusting their plan as needed. That includes everything from staffing to getting the Capitol City ready.
“We're going to look at potential staff augmentation; how our staff is going to handle it, but right now we're going to continue to monitor weather conditions,” Jones explained. “If it does deteriorate then we're going to take the appropriate action
Meanwhile, the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security is also watching for more development. They say they'll activate as soon as they need to.
