BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) — A Gonzales mother is doing everything she can to keep the memory of her child alive. Erin Bourgeois lost her third daughter a little more than an hour after she was born, the result of an under-developed brain. That happened about a year and a half ago.

Since then, Bourgeois has taken action, doing everything she can to reach out to parents with the same situation. Saturday is a special day for her. She has put together a walk in honor of those lost children. She says its a chance for families to come together and remember.

"Losing a child is very hard and a lot of people don't talk about it or don't ask because they don't want to bring it up and upset you," she says. "But its good to form a support system, so you can talk about your baby."

The Walk to Remember starts tomorrow in the LSU Rural Life at 4560 Essen Lane at 10:30. It goes until 12:30. Register on the website at http://www.zoe-foundation.org/ or call Erin at (225) 206-1035 for details.
