National HIV testing begins
BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - “Take the test, take control” is the message of this year's national HIV testing day.
On the morning of June 27th the Baton Rouge Aids Society began a 24 day of free HIV testing at their location on North Boulevard.
The state wide campaign hopes to change the stigma attached to getting tested.
It only takes 15 minutes of your time to get the free test, and workers are taking extra steps to make sure people who come in, feel comfortable.
The free test will continue until midnight, but if you can't make it there will be free screenings on Wednesday, June 29th at the YMCA on Thomas Delpit Drive.
