NEW YORK, NY (FOX44) – New DVDs to kick off the New Year feature something for everyone. Starting with a thriller full of A-listers like Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon, and Kate Winslet as a killer virus threatens to wipe out the human race in "Contagion".

A romantic comedy, courtesy of Sarah Jessica Parker, with "I Don't Know How She Does It" about a married working woman juggling family life and life at the office. Buddy-cop flick with a twist "The Guard" stars Golden Globe nominee Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle as an Irish cop and FBI agent on an international drug case. With a nature documentary, Oscar-winner Jeremy Irons narrates the journey of "The Last Lions" following a mother and her cubs as they escape to a new African land for survival.

Horror flicks up for grabs include "Shark Night" as a lake house vacation quickly turns into a nightmare thanks to what's lurking in the water. Also in horror, what's lurking under the old haunted house is at the center of "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" starring Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce, and Bailee Madison.

And based on a true story, Chris Evans plays a young lawyer and drug addict who takes on the case of a lifetime by taking on the health care industry in "Puncture".

Meanwhile, hit TV take-homes includes the Golden Globe recognized HBO miniseries “Mildred Pierce” starring Kate Winslet. And the second season of FX’s "Justified" complete with features from the set and outtakes.

Then a movie you can sing along to as Cameron Crowe celebrates a rockin' milestone for Eddie Vedder and band with "Pearl Jam 20".
