BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - The LSU Athletic Department introduced newly hired head softball coach Beth Torina on Wednesday. Torina will take over for the recently retired Yvette Girouard and accepts the position less than two weeks after Alabama softball coach Pat Murphy changed his mind about the job.

Torina led Florida International to 129 victories in four years as their head coach and says she's staying put in Baton Rouge.
