NEW YORK, NY (FOX44) – Jason Segel pops the question to Emily Blunt and the story of “The Five Year Engagement” that ensues kicks off this week's list of what's new in theaters. Segel reteams with his "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" director in the comedy about a couple who take their time getting to the alter.

Young movie-goers can get on-board with "The Pirates! Band of Misfits". A stop-motion animation film with Hugh Grant as pirate captain, Selma Hayek, and Jeremy Piven along for the adventure as they plunder, pillage, and party for ham night.

If it's a scary movie you seek, catch John Cusack in the dark-thriller "The Raven", the story of a killer who uses Edgar Allen Poe’s writings as inspiration. Then the thrill-ride "Safe" let's Jason Statham flex his action-star muscles as a cage fighter who ends up in the middle of a mafia war, battles police corruption, and finds he's also facing a 12-year-old girl who needs his help.

So to recap; romance, comedy, action, thrills, scares, and pirates with ham. There is something for everybody this week at the movies.
