NEW ORLEANS, LA (FOX44) -- Rumored favorite Bill Parcells said he doesn't want to be interim head coach for the Saints this year, according to an ESPN report.

The Super Bowl-winning coach had been mentioned as a replacement for Saints Head Coach Sean Payton.

The NFL has suspended Payton for a year for his part in the alleged “Bountygate" scandal involving the Saints.

Parcells, 71, has been retired for a number of years.
