PORT ALLEN, La (FOX44)— An issue over a former mayor has the city council in Port Allen looking to the Attorney General for help.

Derek Lewis resigned as mayor back in June. It happened hours before he plead guilty in the Blighted Officials trial.

But now, he wants almost $20,000 dollars in vacation pay.

Port Allen’s city council is deciding to get an opinion from the Attorney General before paying Lewis.
