BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) -- A pedestrian is hit and killed South Choctaw just after midnight Thursday morning. The identity of the victim is a mystery.

Baton Rouge Police investigators tell FOX44 News a Hispanic man was found laying in the road after being hit by a 1993 Geo Prism.

The victim was brought to the hospital where he later died. Now the Traffic Homicide Unit has taken over the case. Police did not say if the driver of that Prism would be charged.
