The Pink Floyd pig soars

Monday, September 26, 2011 - 5:13pm

HOLLYWOOD HOOKUP (FOX44) – The trial for the man who some say is responsible for Michael Jackson’s death, starts Tuesday. Dr. Conrad Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter, accused of killing Michael Jackson in 2009, with an overdose of a powerful anesthetic. This case is expected to generate plenty of publicity. The judge will allow cameras inside the courtroom in what could be one of the most watched celebrity trials in recent history.

– The Pink Floyd pig soars over British skies once again. An exact replica of the band's album cover for "Animals" was flying over London to mark the release of their re-mastered album. It's been almost 35-years since the original cover shoot, which took place over 3-days in 1976.

– Brooklyn, New York is 'netting' a new basketball team. The New Jersey Nets are moving to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Hip-hop star and part owner of the team, Jay-Z says he'll be performing there often. Jay-Z says: "I just appreciate all the support for Brooklyn, cause without Brooklyn I wouldn't be standing here right now humbled and excited, so get ready for the Brooklyn Nets.” The center will include luxury suites designed by Jay-Z. The team's CEO says about 50-percent of them have already been sold.
