BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) — The sale of more than 200 seized and abandoned bicycles, lawnmowers and four-wheelers raised almost $16,000 on Saturday.
The money will go into the city-parishes general fund . It's money that is necessart says Don Stone of the Baton Rouge Police Department, "the money is badly needed and to have this much money raised at this particular function is a big help for the city-parish general fund."
The B.R.P.D. has auctions of seized and abaondoned vehicles once every 18 months.
