Police seek motive, suspect for Sunday evening shooting

BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — A man is recovering in the hospital today after he was shot Sunday evening in the parking lot of the Brandywine Apartment complex.

The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the call at around 9:30 on Sunday, Feb. 19. When they arrived on scene, they found a 46-year-old man lying on the ground with a gun shot wound.

Police say the man had been shot once, and was coherent and alert when he was found. He was transported by EMS to a local hospital, where he is being treated for his injury.

Police say they do not have a motive for this shooting.
