Tuesday's election could decide Jindal's next move
BATON ROUGE, La (WGMB)--Gov. Bobby Jindal might be watching Tuesday's election very closely.
Rumors have swirled for months about whether Jindal plans to run for a second term or throw his hat in the 2012 presidential election.
Local pollster Elliott Stonecipher believes Jindal already missed his opportunity to run for president for now.
"I think Bobby Jindal missed it on the first round," says pollster Elliott Stonecipher. "He's young enough to survive for another one, and he needs it."
Stonecipher says Jindal needs to focus on the state's issues before worrying about national platforms. He also thinks that Jindal might make a move out of the state faster if Caroline Fayard wins the lieutenant governor's race.
