THIS IS AN FOX44 NEWS UPDATE: The East Baton Rouge Violent Crimes Unit have charged Dalvin D. Mullens, 18, with three counts of Attempted First Degree Murder.
Mullens was already in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for previous charges. He told detectives he got into a argument with three men in another vehicle; he claims one of them drew a gun, so he drew his own weapon and began to shoot.
Mullens then took the police to where he hid the weapon in question.
Mullens admitted to detectives that he drove to the Shell station and while there got into a verbal altercation with three males in another vehicle. Mullens said one of the men in the other car pulled a gun from the glove compartment of their car, so he drew his own gun and began shooting at them.
Mullens took detectives to the location where he had stashed the weapon used in the Shell station shooting and he was charged accordingly.
BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - East Baton Rouge Sheriffs are still looking for two men that fired guns close to Perkins Rowe Saturday night.
EBR Sheriff's say an off duty deputy was working a beat at Perkins Rowe, and around 7:30pm, the deputy heard five to seven gunshots ring out at the Shell gas station across the street.
The men that the deputy saw sped away before he could get there.
East Baton Rouge Detectives also found that a passing car was struck by one of the stray bullets. Fortunately, no one inside the car was hurt. They also say no bullets landed in Perkins Row
Deputies say, the best thing for citizens to stay safe, is to report these incidents as soon as they happen.
