The legendary morning team from the 1980s, gathers with other announcers from that time for a one time reunion this Friday 3p-6p on 96.1 The River.
Known as the “102 Morning Krewe”, Randy Rice and Jim Nasium along with Margaret Taylor were Baton Rouge morning radio staples in Baton Rouge from 1978-1990. In a live show this Friday from 3p-6pm, the team will reunite for the first time in 20 years live on 96.1 The River.
Joining the team will be other personalities from WFMF at that time including Gary Hail, Johnny A, Brother Dave,Scotty Mac, Rick Cantu, and Bob Murphy.
Bob Murphy, current Operations Manager for WFMF and 96.1 The River says, “This is a once in a lifetime reunion of a group of people who were at the heart of pop music and culture in the 1980’s.this team laid the groundwork for what WFMF is today as one of Baton Rouge’s most popular and successful radio stations. I am excited about a moment of very cool nostalgia for a Baton Rouge icon.”
The three hour Rice and Nasium Reunion will also feature retro hits from the 1980s.
