BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) - Just 3 days after the city jail in Baton Rouge opened - record numbers of people are taking care of outstanding warrants.
The line outside City and District Court downtown were in the hundreds all day Monday. The line stretching down the stairs and onto the sidewalk.
EBR Deputies say since the jail opened, more than 100 people have been booked on outstanding misdemeanor warrants. More than 160,000 warrants are issued parish wide.
