BATON ROUGE (FOX44) - Saturday, May 21, 2011 was recently deemed by some religious scholars as the end of days.
The scholars said it was on this day because because it's exactly 7,000 years after the flood of Noah depicted in the Old Testament.
Ever since the early Assyrians, mankind has always tried to put an exact time to when life here would stop.
Micheal Karunas is a pastor here in Baton Rouge, he said the point of this is to remind people about being good to your fellow man, and that the end of days could happen anytime.
"Whenever the end comes, we should be worried about the specifics, but not in terms of interpreting signs of the times, not in terms of picking out dates and hours and weeks and months but rather how we're living with our brothers and sisters today." said Karunas
