Ridley declares for NFL draft
BATON ROUGE. La (FOX44) - LSU will be without running back Stevan Ridley in 2011. Ridley announced that he will skip his senior season and enter the NFL draft. Ridley made the decision official on his Facebook page.
Ridley rushed for 1,147 yards and 15 touchdowns for LSU in 2010. "I want to thank Chancellor Martin, athletic director Joe Alleva, Coach Miles, Coach Frank, my running backs coach, for giving me a chance to come down here to pursue my dream of playing running back and also in the SEC, at the highest level," Ridley said.
Ridley also thanked the fans, "Y'all have been awesome. Bar none the greatest fans you could ask to play for," he said.
The 2011 NFL Draft will be held April 28-30.
