GREENSBURG, La (WVLA) -- Finally, there's some good news coming out of Saint Helena parish. New Fire alarms could be on the way.

According to the Saint Helena school board attorney, the school system recently received a grant that will go towards fixing up the schools. Those renovations include a new fire alarm system at the high school.

Saint Helena High has been on fire watch since 2008 when a fire actually disabled the alarm system for the whole school. State Fire Marshall Butch Browning says his office approved their alarm system plans on Monday.
