Sheriff arrests two for marijuana, cocaine possession with intent to distribute

BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Deputies discovered large amounts of marijuana and cocaine at a Baton Rouge home on Adams Ave. They also found a pistol and nearly $3,000 in cash.

Deputies executed a search warrant for the home and brought in a K-9 to seek out possible drugs. At the end of their search, they found Marijuana 8.8 pounds TPW, Marijuana 52.1 grams TPW, Cocaine 101.2 grams TPW, (1) digital scale, (1) High Point 9mm luger pistol, and $2,775.00 U.S. Currency

Vandy Young, 39, was arrested for Illegal Possession on a Firearm with CDS, Possession with Intent to Distribute of Marijuana and Cocaine, and Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Latoya Robinson, 36, was also arrested for Simple Possession of Marijuana.
