Sheriff seeking debit card thief

BATON ROUGE, LA — East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for an unknown black male that was seen using a fraudulent debit card at various locations in the Baton Rouge area on September 22, 2011.

According to reports, a resident of Brentwood, California filed a report after her debit card number was fraudulently used to make purchases at various businesses in the Baton Rouge area. The fraudulent purchases totaled $1,086.93 in gift cards.

The complaint reported that she was still in possession of her debit card, and she did not know how her debit card number was compromised. The fraudulent purchases were made at the College Drive Wal-Mart, Macy’s (Mall of Louisiana), College Drive Albertsons, and the O’Neal Lane Wal-Mart

Suspect is described as black male, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
