Sheriff seeking man possibly connected to fatal shooting

BATON ROUGE, LA — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is seeking to identify a Person Of Interest in the homicide that occurred in the 6000 block of Oak Park at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Monday, May 14.

Dederick Droze, 24, of 5434 Winter Avenue was found dead inside a vehicle and another man was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

According to reports, Droze and the other man were shot while inside a vehicle on Oak Park. A black man was seen fleeing the scene.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office believes that the man pictured above may be connected to the crime in some way.
