Sheriff seeking murder suspect for Oak Park Drive shooting

BATON ROUGE, LA — East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for Roman Montrell Trosclair Sr., 28, of Maplewood Dr. in the shooting death of Dederick Droze, 24, that occurred on May 14 on Oak Park Drive. Detectives were able to identify Trosclair from surveillance video taken from a nearby convenience store.

According to reports, Trosclair was picked up by Droze and another man on May 14, 2012. The three then drove to a local convenience store. After leaving the store, Trosclair allegedly fired shots at Droze and the other man. Droze died on scene and the second victim was treated for critical injuries.
