BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) - Someone shot and killed a man at an intersection close to Southern University during the Southern, Jackson State game.
Baton Rouge Police say Lawrence King, 22, died in his car from a gunshot wound.
It happened around 8:20 Saturday night at the corner of Swan Street and Scenic Highway.
Police believe Maurice Francis, 21, and Lawrence King got into a fight, that's when they say Francis allegedly open fire.
Deshon Ruffin owns a barber shop only feet away from where the shooting happened, and he says that's too close for comfort.
"We didn't hear no gunshot, I didn't even know, so when they said that, somebody called my phone, was like somebody got shot, i'm like where? Like right outside your barbershop, i'm like, no, not right here" Deshon Ruffin Kutt'n Korners Barbershop Owner, said.
