A short-term agreement might be made on the debt ceiling
WASHINGTON, D.C. (FOX44) - The White House says President Obama might agree to a very short-term agreement to lift the debt ceiling by Tuesday.
If the long-term agreement he wants will be ready just a few days later, but the President believes there's still time to get a long-term agreement by Tuesday.
President Obama says, Democrats and Republicans aren't as far apart as they sound, but one big disagreement, the size of the debt ceiling increase, and how long it will last.
Republicans say only for about six months, but the President and fellow Democrats want an agreement which lasts through the presidential election.
