Silent bike ride planned for Engler family
Starts Sunday at Brew Ha-Ha
BATON ROUGE, La (WGMB)--There's a chance this weekend to support the family affected by the murder in beauregard town last week.
A silent bike ride and benefit is planned for the Engler family this sunday.
The event starts at 5pm at the Brew Ha-Ha parking lot on Jefferson at Capital Heights.
Riders will go down governement and ride through Beauregard town to place flowers at the Engler home.
Organizers say the ride is meant to raise awareness and promote neighborhood safety.
"When the community gets together there's strength in numbers and it's really important for us to get to get to know our neighbors to talk to the people that we live around and for us not to be afraid to make a phone call if something doesn't feel right," said Tori Trainchina.
Organizers will accept donations for Ariana as well.
The event ends at the First United Methodist Church
