Southern Screen Festival now accepting submissions

LAFAYETTE, La (FOX44) – Southern Screen, Southwest Louisiana’s newest film festival, is currently accepting submissions for the inaugural festival being held November 17-20 in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Film submissions from Southern filmmakers will be accepted for all types of films including student film, short film, documentaries, features, animation and music videos. A panel of local and national filmmakers will judge the entries and the winner will be announced at the Festival’s Award Ceremony.

Interested filmmakers can download a submission form by visiting SouthernScreen.org. The submission form along with the film and $20 entry fee can be mailed or dropped off to the attention of Julie Bordelon at the Lafayette Economic Development Authority located at 211 East Devalcourt Street. The deadline for film submissions is October 1.
