BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) - Roger Cador’s Southern Jaguar baseball team used a seven run first inning to propel them to a 9-5 victory over Loyola New Orleans Tuesday night. Southern improves to 15-13 overall.
Cameron McGriff had two hits on the night including two runs batted in and he scored twice.
Daniel Garcia got the win for Southern on the mound pitching five innings giving up just two earned runs while striking out six batters.
The Jags return to SWAC play on Friday as they host Texas Southern at Lee Hines Field.
