NATIONAL (FOX44) - This Sunday, veterans across the country will celebrate 'the spirit of 45', remembering how they felt the day world war two ended, sixty six years ago.
Back on August 14th, 1945 President Truman announced the war was over, and the nation celebrated.
Now there's a new push, to bring back the old 'spirit of 45'.
Honoring the men and women who sacrificed their lives, and those still around, who remind us why we are proud to be Americans.
The Kidd will host a 'spirit of 45' celebration Tuesday, August 16th at the old State Capitol. It's free and all veterans and their families are invited.
