NEW ORLEANS, LA (FOX8) - Former Saints safety Steve Gleason is now the proud father of a healthy baby boy.
Gleason and his wife Michel celebrated the birth of Rivers Varisco Gleason on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
Steve Gleason was diagnosed with the incurable, Lou Gehrig's disease.
He was named an honorary captain for the Saints game against the Texans and was given a Super Bowl ring and Mayor Landrieu gave him a key to the city.
He is best known for his blocked punt the night the Saints returned to the Superdome after Katrina.
