Stolen copper recovered from West Baton Rouge Parish heist
West Baton Rouge Sheriff Mike Cazes goes the extra mile for a local warehouse owner.
Cazes drove all the way down to New Orleans to recover $50,000 worth of stolen copper wire. It was allegedly stolen from the old U.S. Post Office Distribution Center earlier this month. Click here to view the original story.
We're told the trio, who tried to sell the metal in New Orleans, were caught in the act, trying to go back to the warehouse for another heist.
Unfortunately this copper can only be sold as scrap now, so the business owner is still down tens of thousands of dollars.
