BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - The storm that swept through the Capital City left a lot of damage in its wake.
In Mid-City, one neighborhood had a tree ripped out of the ground from its roots. This resulted in a busted gas line. Other damage suffered in the neighborhood included busted water and sewer lines as well. Additionally, the tree which toppled over caused severe damage to one residents’ house.
To help with the recovery effort, the Red Cross sent a representative out to survey the scene. They also offered food, clothing and whatever other items those affected by the storm needed.
Despite all of the damage caused by the storm, nobody in the neighborhood was hurt during it.
