Suspects caught in Carwash shooting

BATON ROUGE (FOX44) - This is a FOX 44 News update - The two shooters involved in the murder at a car wash Saturday night have been caught.

Due to an anonymous tip, BRPD was able to find the two cars Sunday morning that were involved with the shooting on North Sherwood Forest.

Jean Paul Creppel, 34, and Danielle Palermo, 26, were arrested around 8:00 am at there home in Central after Baton Rouge detectives identified that both of the cars involved were sitting in their driveway.

Police were also able to identify the body under the bridge on Black Mud Road as Jonathan Ellis, 34.

Sergeant Don Stone said that the help from the local media, and anonymous callers were paramount in solving this case.

"I have to tell you that the public and the local media played a big part in this, without the media and the public we would still be looking for these suspects." - said Sgt. Stone

Both Creppel and Palermo have been booked into ebr parish prison on charges of First Degree Murder, Illegal use of a weapon and Armed Robbery.
