ST. FRANCISVILLE, La (FOX44) - A shocking crime is moving through the courts this week.
A teenager accused of killing an eight-year-old boy on the Bluff's Walking Trail in St. Francisville is sane enough to stand trial.
A State District Judge made the ruling Monday, June 6th based on psychiatric evaluations of 17 year old Trevor Reese.
He was just 16 in June of 2010, when the crime occurred.
The ruling won't stop the defense from using insanity as a defense.
Reese is being tried as an adult and has been locked up, since his arrest last year.
