NATIONAL (FOX44) - Texting can be a pain in the neck, literally.

Chiropractors in St. Louis, Missouri are reporting more cases of teens coming to their office seeking relief from neck pain, shoulder stiffness and headaches.

The doctors say the cause is from constantly looking down while texting and have even coined the term "text neck."

It's really a condition called forward head posture, and can lead to irreversible damage if left untreated.

They say texters should try to text from a raised position, and seek treatment if symptoms get worse.
