BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) -- Ticket sales in Tiger Stadium could keep big festivals in Baton Rouge.

Metro Council members are supporting a resolution that would take a portion of sales tax from tickets.

While not increasing the price of tickets, they would use those funds to keep events like the Bayou Country Superfest a constant money maker every year.

It's already in place at the Superdome in New Orleans and the Cajundome in Lafayette.

Baton Rouge Visitor's Bureau CEO Paul Arrigo says it's a big step to more festivals picking Baton Rouge.
