HOLLYWOOD HOOKUP (FOX44) – Steve Jobs died yesterday and today mock turtleneck sales are up. He wore them often on keynote addresses for Apple. According to St. Croix the brand that makes those sweaters, sales are up 100%.
– We now know how rocker Jani Lane died. The LA coroner says the former "Warrant" front man died of alcohol poisoning. Lane's body was found in a Woodland Hills hotel in August. He's the writer behind hits like "Heaven" and "Cherry Pie." He was 47-years-old.
– Pop singer and breast cancer survivor Kylie Minogue was awarded an honorary degree Wednesday from Ruskin University in England. The school says she did a great job raising awareness for the disease while she fought it. "It was a blessing and a curse, because the media wanted to have more information than they received, but I did feel a lot of love from the public”, Minogue said. October is breast cancer awareness month globally.
– Sesame Street is hoping to bring awareness to America’s poverty problems with a new Muppet.
The show is introducing "Lily", she's starving and can't afford food. She'll debut in a one-hour prime-time Sesame Street special called "Growing Hope against Hunger" which airs this Sunday.
