HOLLYWOOD, CA (FOX44) – The cast from "Twilight" is back in the second to last installment of the super-popular series. Hollywood heartthrobs Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart talk about what it's like to literally grow up in front of the cameras and why "Twilight" is far from over.
From the frenzy at this week's Twilight premiere in Los Angeles, it’s clear that fans have an unbreakable connection with the blockbuster franchise, its characters, and stars. Only one film remains after the release of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1". The last book in the series was divided in half; part 1 chronicles a wedding, pregnancy, and a birth. It also helped the cast prepare for the end.
Pattinson says: "I really think I’ve got another 2-years, at least, of really hardcore Twilight stuff to do. So I feel like really it's gonna be over when I’m about thirty. I don't feel like anything has ended yet." Lautner says: "In a way, you know of course we've grown so much. We all started so young, what am I talking about we're still young, but we started really young."
Stewart says: "It really depends, like, sometimes both. It depends which eyes you look at heat through. It doesn't feel like 4-years because I still feel so close to it, but at the same time, I am pretty happy that I feel like it's complete."
For their loyal following, this film stays true to the book. Pattinson says: "You've concluded all of the major problems from the first one. You know, do vampires have souls? It's kind of concluded. Will Bella be a vampire? Are they together? Will they get married? All of these things are kind of done and they're all major themes of the series, and they're all concluded in this on and the next one."
And while "Breaking Dawn Part 2" won't hit theaters until next November, production has finished, but the memories live on. Stewart says: "I’m really gonna miss working with those guys and the whole cast cause whenever I have a really great experience with anyone I can’t wait to go back and do it again.” Pattinson says: "I haven't even had time to reflect on it, I don't even know what's happened, so I don't know if I’ll miss it."
