Two arrested for meth lab in Ascension Parish
ASCENSION PARISH, LA (FOX44) -- The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office busted up a meth lab on Tuesday, Sept. 13 that as being run by two people in a home off Highway 431.
The Sheriff’s Department was sent to the home on Jimmy Michael Road after a complaint was filed that two people were there who were not supposed be on the property. Deputies learned that Cole Gonzales, 28, and Leslea Hurst, 28, were recently evicted from the home. The two ran from deputies when they arrived on scene, but they were corned and taken into custody.

Hurst was caught in possession of Xanax, without having a valid prescription. Narcotics detectives went inside the home that the two were originally located at and discovered a meth lab. They also found a sparkler bomb, which is also illegal to own. Evidence at the scene connected the duo to the contents of the home.
Both Gonzales and Hurst were arrested and charged with Creation of a Clandestine lab, Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Flight from an Office, and Manufacturing or Possession of a bomb (Sparkler Bomb). Hurst received an additional charge of Possession of Xanax.
