Two robbery suspects arrested in Ponchatoula
PONCHATOULA, LA — On January 29, 2012, deputies resounded to a residence on Traino Landing Rd. in reference to an alarm being activated. When deputies arrived at the residence, it was observed that the home was burglarized and several items were reported stolen.
During the time the incident was taking place, a suspicious vehicle, a blue Buick bearing a LA license plate, was observed near the residence.
While investigating the incident, deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle traveling on HWY 22 East. After a brief chase, the suspects were subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
At this time, Antwine Barze, 45, of N. Barrone St. and Robin Nelson, 34, of N. Charbonnet St. in Ponchatoula were charged accordingly.
Upon inventorying the vehicle subsequent to arrest, deputies located the items which were reported stolen from the Traino Landing Rd. Residence. After further investigation, it was learned that Antwine Barze was a convicted felon. Both Barze and Nelson, were then transported to the parish jail for processing.
