Two students at Broadmoor Middle charged with brining gun to school
BATON ROUGE, LA — An officer with the School Drug Task Force responded this morning to a call concerning a gun brought to Broadmoor Middle School on Sharp Road at approximately 8:30 a.m.
According to reports, an anonymous student reported seeing two students with a gun. Administration discovered the unloaded .25 caliber handgun in the booksack of a 15-year-old 8th grader. The 8th grader was allegedly given the weapon by another 13-year-old 7th grader.
Deputies will charge both students with Carrying of a Firearm by a Student On School Property and they will be booked into Juvenile Detention.
No motive was given. Any further questions concerning the students should be directed to the School Board.
