Unknown suspects fire pellet gun at Lafayette Sheriff’s Office building

LAFAYETTE, LA (FOX44) — Under the cover of darkness an unknown assailant fired a pellet gun at the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Administrative Building. No one was hurt, but deputies are seeking out the suspect.

We’re told the incident happened shortly before midnight on Wednesday, April 4. Officials say the two plate glass windows at the office on the 300 block of West Main Street were damaged from the pellets.

A vehicle has been identified in connection to the shootings. We’re told that investigators have not identified whether the shots were fired from inside or outside of the vehicle.

Investigators are seeking any information regarding the identity of the individuals who may have occupied the vehicle in question.
