BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) -- Day two of Grand Jury hearing in downtown Baton Rouge, but no decision seems to be in near sight.
This morning Josh Johns testified in front of the Grand Jury. His attorney, Tommy Damico, said that Johns was inside the courtroom for about an hour. Damico says Johns was not involved in the bar fight at Shady’s last month, and he has maintained that since day one. Damico could not tell us what Johns said in front of the Grand Jury because the proceedings are concealed until the outcome of the trial.
Quarterback Jordan Jefferson is expected to testify this afternoon. He has not arrived as of 2:00 p.m.
Damico estimates that the proceedings will go on for several more hours.
What those charges could be – they could keep the charge of Second Degree Battery, lower it to Simple Battery, which is a misdemeanor, or they could drop the charges all together.
