THIS IS A FOX44 UPDATE: Tim Tebow has officially been traded to the Jets.
THIS IS A FOX44 UPDATE: Due to contractual conflicts, Broncos QB Tim Tebow may not become a New York Jet after all.
The teams have found a discrepancy in Tebow’s contract that could make the trade not happen according to EPSN’s Adam Schefter.
The issue is thought to be a clause in his contract that could force the Jets to pay up to $5 million to the Broncos, which the Jets could possibly refuse.
If the Jets don’t agree to the terms, Tebow would go back on the market; the Rams may be interested in the QB.
ORIGINAL STORY: FOX NATIONAL NEWS: The Denver Broncos traded Tebow to the New York Jets today for fourth and six round draft picks in 2012.
Tebow, whose days were numbered in Denver when the team signed Peyton Manning yesterday, will compliment Jets QB Mark Sanchez.
Tebow led the Broncos to several come from behind wins last season and to the playoffs for the first time since 2005.
