BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) - The Army Corps of Engineers says a stretch of River Road will reopen in time for football season.
Officials with the corps say they've been putting small berms made of clay between the road and the levee.
That's to push and seepage further away from the levee.
The seepage from the river has been going through the levee and onto River Road for years.
They say the eight million dollar project is expected to be done by the end of august, so tiger fans will be able to use River Road to get to the first home game against North Texas on September first.
