BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) — It was a special day for families of military men and women who died in the line of duty. Their loved ones were recognized for their service Monday at the U.S.S. Kidd Memorial Day Ceremony.
U.S. Congressman Bill Cassidy was the keynote speaker. He stressed the importance of this day, and the work that the Armed Forces do.
A huge crowd of capitol city residents attended to pay their respects to fallen soldiers, and to show their appreciation. Many say its a way to say thank you for keeping them, and this country, safe.
